Vicidial IP address Changed

If i am changed the IP address using following command . Vicidial server is required must be restart ?

/usr/share/astguiclient/ADMIN_update_server_ip.pl

Don't think so, just:
* change the ip address
* run the script

It is safe to restart the server so Mysql and scripts and refreshed with this new IP. We have encounter issues when we have not rebooted. If you cannot reboot, then perform /etc/init.d/vicidial restart

you MUST reboot the server when the IP changes.

however: You CAN have two network cards. One for "local" (with a Private IP, for Communication with the Agents in the Office) and one for Internet (with a Public IP). If your public IP changes often, that Private IP will not change thus not requiring a reboot if that is the IP you have the ip address update script set to use.

it is NOT a requirement that any other non-vicidial servers or users can access vicidial on that ip, only that Vicidial recognizes itself as that IP address (and clustered servers can reach it on that IP). so any IP that belongs to that server will do.
