Connection refused at /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_conf_updat

Hi,

I am getting the below error message please give me the solution on this

problem connecting to "localhost", port 5038: Connection refused at /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_conf_update.pl line 258
problem connecting to "localhost", port 5038: Connection refused at /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_conf_update.pl line 177

anyone please assist me

even i checked /etc/asterisk/manager.conf file but still same issue

is asterisk running on the same server?
is asterisk running?
maybe a reboot helps? its a bit old post so I guess you have tried that

do a screen -ls , best guess is asterisk process is not running thats why its erroring out
