Manual Dial from browser link

Hi Guys

Im wondering if anyone has made an application that allows clicking on a number in any web browser page to launch a manual dial call in vicidial?

So the agent would be logged in the dialer in manual mode, and when they click on a phone number in a browser page, say the CRM of a website with a phone number it launches a manual call in vicidial?

I am guessing this would have to be some kind of application that would run on the PC and call the agent API?

Im jusgt wondering if anyone else has attempted such a thing before I look too far into it.

There is actually an XPI firefox plugin included in the "extras" directory of the Vicidial code that does this.
