Or a simple Standalone SIP VOIP Gateway such as

B001NHNW4Uhttps://www.asttecs.com/asterisk-shop/g ... -4104.htmlNote that this example will turn four landlines into four SIP accounts that can be connected to any Asterisk server. If your Vicidial server dies, you don't have to worry about moving the landline card to another device. You can also reroute the landline(s) to another sip server during vicidial downtime, or move them to a FreePBX server at some point if your business plan requires. Basically this device becomes your "set it and forget it" VOIP carrier ... but for a landline.
We've set many of these up for clients over the years. Often during a transition from one physical facilty to another. In one case, we left one of these running in the "telephone closet" of the vacated space for six months before retrieving it and the landlord never even noticed. The phone company wouldn't port the number in question, but after six months the client had completed their transition to a new number and they sent us out to retrieve the equipment (although it wasn't expensive, they would have abandoned it if our tech hadn't been able to gain access to the telephone closet for retrieval, lol).

They are not interchangeable at all. Be careful when purchasing, it's easy to grab the wrong one.
