Hi All,
We're planning on launching a fresh vicidial instance on a new server and was wondering about the best approach for the domain.
We have our current vicidial installed on a subdomain (dialer.domain.tld), but I was curious if there are any negative consequences to installing it directly on the root domain (domain.tld).
It's a fresh domain and the domain will be exclusively used for ViciDial.
We plan on implementing SSL and using the viciphone webphone. We also plan on using the firewall with dynamic portal and whitelist. We'll also enable email.
Just wondering if there might be some potential drawbacks to installing on the root domain that I may be unaware of.
Thanks for your feedback!

Using the root domain will mean more webcrawler and search engine traffic, even if you use a Robots.txt file. If the root domain doesn't route to a webserver at all, there will be a lot less traffic trying to index it. Either way, make sure your firewall is turned on.
