How to install Asterisk 18 with confbridges

Postby carpenox » Sat Jan 13, 2024 7:56 am

Here is an article how to install asterisk 18 for vicidial with confbridges and a couple bug fixes for monitoring, I hope everyone enjoys the freedom from the "bloop".

16 is the official supported latest version for vicidial group. I have moved one step ahead with 18 which they are working on, I am pretty sure kumba will have it in the next release. But meetme has been deprecated by Asterisk and is no longer used/supported. Plus the switch to confbridge will remove that "bloop" sound that I personally, hang up instantly when I hear it, dont you?

No bloop = more money/sales
