purpose of NTP

i am not sure of real pupose of having NTP on clients in VICIDIAL
as any application running on browser can use the timing of web server
and if i am using a IP phone will i need to configur NTP seeting on that also according to what mentioned in scract install

it is not required anymore for client machines. Only the servers must have it if there is more than one machine.
