I'm building out a load balanced system that can scale to 200 agents if needed. I have 40 agents and going to be growing by 40 more agents in few months.
Right now I have my db server. Its a Supermicro 2x Quad Core 3.0 ghz 16 gig ram and 16 SAS drive Raid 10.
Trying to decide on what to use for the dialers.
I need full recording and g729. Would it be better to get alot of less powerful servers or a few powerful servers with powerful raid.
Thoughts...
thanks,
Mark

you just need a couple more boxes to be your asterisk servers, i had a 200 seater install before just using 1 quad xeon as db and 8 intel core2duo machines running 25 agents per server, g729 + meetme + amd + call recording is really taxing to the CPU, also you would want to use a 64 bit operating system for your database server.
Also in my other experiences I find 1.4.21.2 stable specially with those enabled.
