connection refused :AST_vm_update.pl

I have installed vicidial 2.2.1 with asterisk 1.4, Dahdi_dummy works fine but i have an error : Sorry there are no sessions available
i have checked the server ip : everything is allright but

we have this message:

problem connecting to "localhost", port 5038: Connection refused at /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_vm_update.pl line 174
problem connecting to "localhost", port 5038: Connection refused at /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_conf_update.pl line 239

see /etc/astguiclient.conf

check if your asterisk server is running and do a screen -ls and paste the output

the credentials for your system are stored in /etc/astguiclient.conf, if it is having troubles with credentials, that will be where they are UNLESS they are in one of the many GUI entries (each phone and possibly other places has logins for asterisk manager, etc)

when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method, vicidial version and build, asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box.
