what is your bet of distro when it comes to vicidial?

If you couldn't tell from the SCRATCH_INSTALL, I very much prefer Slackware 10.2 
It is a very basic Linux distro that isn't full of a lot of customized bin-utils and other junk that can complicate installations of other programs or slow the system down.
It is great for people who prefer installing software from source and want a very UNIX-like environment in their Linux distro.
