understanding vicidial..

Hello all,

I want to install a call center for about 10 seats.I saw that vicidial is a call center that works with Asterisk server.I have already installed an ASterisk server on Ubuntu with Realtime configuration using sip and zap channels(through tdm400p).I read the scratch install but I am totally confused.
Can anybody explain me what is going on?What do i need for the call center-vicidial(configuration)?
It will be really helpful if somebody can inform me to understand all these!
