Verbose level

Postby GaD » Mon Nov 19, 2012 1:03 pm

Hi guys!

When I reboot the server (which I have come to do every night because of a memory leak...) the verbose is set to 21. Where do you guys specify the verbosity level? I would usually find it in aesterisk.conf, but I do not see it there...., any chances I'm looking at the wrong file..?

Thanks!

you can still set it according to the normal methods. this is just asterisk in that regard. you will note that when asterisk is started by Vicidial's startup process it is started in a "screen" which may auto-generate a previously set verbosity. but a better question would be why you would care what the verbosity is ... is it in some way hampering a process or task?

Right!!! I had forgotten the freakin' screen! jaja... I don;t currently have problems, but don't want to wait 'til I get some for me to act. I don't like activating verbosity when it is not necesary. I could use the resources (eg. RAM, CPU, HDD, I/O, etc) elsewhere... Since I'm restarting every night the verbose will be set to 21 evey day so..., I just want to stop that....

Thanks William!
