for anyone who are upgrading from 2.0.5 to the newest version.

Remove the ASTLOOP and ASTBLIND entries from iax.conf

This entries are now auto generated by VICIDIAL.

This also solves any problems from transfer to phone monitoring/barging.

are those the only changes?

of course, you could do a diff on the "new" ".conf" files vs the old. i generally just say "YES" when it asks permission to copy the new files. (well, always actually, not generally). i pretty much consider that part of the upgrade/update.

From the UPGRADE doc:

Added Conf File Secret to Servers section to allow for a custom password
on internal ASTloop, ASTblind and server-to-server IAX connections
This requires some lines to be removed from the iax.conf file:
- remove the register entries for ASTloop and ASTblind
- remove the account entries for [ASTloop] and [ASTblind]
This requires some lines to be removed from the extensions.conf file:
- remove the TRUNKloop and TRUNKblind entries near the top

Well, that would do it. LOL

And i've never bothered with those lines because i dump the .conf files and use the new ones.

The devil is in the details. I love bein a technician.
