you need to post more information.

What kind of file exactly?

Are you running the ADMIN_backup.pl script on your system in the crontab?

a) turn off the box immediately (to avoid any possible overwrite, although it may be too late)
b) boot from a rescue disk
c) this is the wrong forum, but once you are at the "it's off" moment, search the linux forums for deleted file recovery (not the "hey download our software!" sites that will give you a virus, but places like sourceforge.net and actual user forums). Don't turn on the dialer again until you are booted from the rescue disk and using an appropriate tool to search for the file.

What filesystem are you using? The chances are really slim in recovering deleted files in ext2 and ext3 file systems. If it's a single file then it can probably be recovered (hopefully).

I know about the ORIG folder, but I'm using a script that delete all the files greater than a week old.

My customer was able to found the recording in their system, but thank you for all your answers.
