How to hide the callerID on a campaign

Postby easierdebt » Wed Nov 24, 2010 10:29 am

Hi, I am new to vicidial and am wondering how i go about hiding the outbound callerID when i run a campaign.

At current it shows the default phone number on all calls that the dialler makes, however i have been asked to prevent it doing that.

Any help greatfully received

Thanks

when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system.

Similar to This:
Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X Build XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation
___________

The phone number being broadcast is dependent upon the Carrier you are using. If you are using PSTN, you cannot alter your CallerID (contact your telephone company). If you are using E1/T1/ISDN or any other form of dedicated phone connection, the rules vary with the provider. If you are using SIP, you can usually just change your CallerID at will (but some providers restrict the number you can broadcast and it must be arranged with them in advance).

In any case, if it is possible to change the CallerID on a Campaign, you modify it with the Campaign Settings. Click on "Detail" at the top of your campaign and look for the CallerID field. Change it. If it has no effect there are two possibilities; you are using a non-standard "Dial Plan" for this carrier (under Admin->Carriers or manually changed in configuration files) or your carrier is restricting your CallerID.
