What about a "tested hardware" list?

Hello,
right now I'm experiencing a lot of problems finding LGA 775 based motherboards and Q9650 CPU, that are no longed sold.
So I'm buying other motherboards based on Xeon but it's bet every time.
So I was wondering, why don't we list here all the hardware tested with the OS and the kernel version used?
ie the raid controller 3ware 9750 is native s upported only with the kernels > 2.6.35, and I've read on the forum strange issues with the latest I7 processors...
I've just buyed a nice "Tyan S7002G2NR-LE I5500 XeonDUO*5500 Nehalem DDR3 ECC 2*GLan VGA sk1366 SSI/ATX" (!). Hope it works!
