Hello Guys,
We are a call center startup in the Philippines. I would like to ask what is a good number for maximum simultaneous calls and agents for the following fixed server specifications. We will also be turning on the full audio recordings on all calls. We will implement a separate Web and Database Servers.
WEB SERVER
HP Proliant DL380 G4 Rack Mount
Processor: 2 processors x Intel Xeon 3.6GHz / 1MB L2 Cache Each CPU
Memory: 4GB 3200R Registered Memory
Hard Drives: 4 x HP Proliant DL380 G4 36GB 15K RPM U320
RAID Config: RAID-10
RAiD Hardware: Smart Array 6i Controller + Battery and Memory
Ethernet: 2 ports x PCI-X Gigabit Server Adapter
DATABASE SERVER
HP Proliant DL380 G4 Rack Mount
Processor: 2 processors x Intel Xeon 3.6GHz / 1MB L2 Cache Each CPU
Memory: 4GB 3200R Registered Memory
Hard Drives: 4 x HP Proliant DL380 G4 36GB 15K RPM U320
RAID Config: RAID-10
RAiD Hardware: Smart Array 6i Controller + Battery and Memory
Ethernet: 2 ports x PCI-X Gigabit Server Adapter
Initially, audio recordings are stored on the Web Server but we will be doing a daily backup on all audio recordings and moving them to the file storage server in our local network.
Thank you and more power to Vicidial!
Best Regards,
Harvey

How many cores does each of those CPUs have?
Also: the exact number is something more of a "you have to test it" than a "this is what you WILL get" unless your configuration matches someone else's very closely.
It is possible to build a system and simulate load to determine capacity.

Hi williamconley, to answer the question:
It is a Single Core Intel Xeon 3.6 GHz - two processors per server
For the number, I am looking for input range. Maybe like 30 agents, 50 agents, 75 agents or even 100 agents. I'm also not looking for the actual capacity but a good number for the limit that we should be looking at based on the specs.
The hardware haven't arrived yet at our location but it would be nice to have some estimated (or even conservative) figures on this.
Thanks!

I have handled those type of servers years ago when I was still working in a call center, they were loaded with aheeva but changed them to vici on debian, ive had 25 on each asterisk server on a multi server setup of 3 (1 db , 2 asterisks) with full call recording, g729, the hardware is good
you can try pushing it to 30 if you dont have g729 codecs
