Will this work with Vicidial? Is there a better recommendation?

Yep. It'll work fine as long as it isn't broken. We've had several clients using Grandstream Gateways. Sometimes they are difficult to configure with asterisk, but after that has been successfully accomplished, they work great. Just be sure you get the proper type (trunk vs station ... one version will work by connecting to the PSTN, the other by connecting to the agent's handsets, they are NOT interchangeable!)

So given that I do not know asterisk I would need assistance with this. Would accomplishing this take you more than an hour or two?
