Hey Matt,
Have you heard of GUNSLINGER?
http://salestechnologies.com/index.php?go=products
Long story short a client found them and had me talk to them on a conference call. When they were on the call they said that they had "Bought Vicidial" and that their programming staff had modified it extensively and rebranded it as their own. The moment I heard this I sort of got pissed at the guy and asked him if they had recommitted any of their modifications back to the source, provided their source code, etc. due to VICIDIAL being AGPLv2. The guy got very quite, went put us on hold to get the "CEO" and never came back lol. After looking at their website it looks like they are definately using VICIDIAL.
Look at their report here:

Just thought I would mention this since I know you keep up on these guys.

Thanks for the notice, I've never heard of them before, although it is a common story that we hear.
We will send out our standard cease and desist letter and see what happens.
Thanks again!

After I did a little more digging I figured out that they are affiliated with SalesDialerPro(
http://salesdialerpro.com/vicidial.html) another company that does hosted Vicidial with some custom CRM apps. They never "bought" vicidial, but they did send two people here to our training, and we did do some consulting for them. Hopefully they will stop trying to sell their service by saying they own Vicidial, that is quite dishonest, and hopefully if they did alter Vicidial then we will be able to post their altered code on the site soon.

I would love to see SalesDialerPro because I am pretty sure thats using VICI too lol. All the same features, and the description is very similar. Probably just modified a small bit, some extra reports, and a new frontend.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/software/sa ... -1e0d4.htmYep.
Actually, I believe that The Vicidial Group could certainly place a request for a disclosure notice to be placed on their site in the ripoffreport (politely) since their PDF of 5 second sales clearly shows a direct extraction of a Vicidial coded page. This means they must disclose ownership of that code. And they do seem to respond to RipoffReport notices ... since The Vicidial Group is technically a victim of this non-disclosure ... it would certainly be appropriate to place "Another Vicitim" statement politely requesting credit on their advertising for the inclusion of the Vicidial software in their "system". But be nice. Ripoffreport cannot be "removed" after placement. So make sure you put up only a simple statement of responsibility to advertise withing the agplv2.

I actually have a client who I found out today is currently using this system. I implemented VICI for them and they say its identical to VICIDIAL, reports, interface and all. I am going to ask them to take a screenshot.

You should ask them to request the source code for the version of Vicidial they were using. Since they were a user of the system and it is AGPLv2 licensed they must be given the source code upon request.

I used the Gunslinger for a while , It is Vicidial . I was never told anything about them buying it or anything .The customization they did I liked and miss. But hosted hosteding Vici oneself is still the best option
