Hi,

It's the first time i write a post in this forum, and this is my first step with VICIDIAL.
I search an effective predictive dialer that can make outgoing calls charged with voice messege. I will use this system in France.
i have found the VICIDIAL, it's recommended by many people, so i want to know what to do first to install and configure the system.

I've already saw the website, but inside ther's many options and i will not enter in details to avoid losing.

Can you tell me the main steps to setup this system?

Thanks
Cordialy

1) Welcome to the party! 8-)

2) Vicibox.com has an .iso for installation and a PDF with instructions.

3) EFLO.net has a Manager's Manual (free version is perfect for a fresh install, and I highly recommand the paid version if you intend to use this application for any period of time, it has a lot of useful help regarding deeper functions). Use the Vicibox.com PDF for installation, and the Manager's Manual for configuration and use. If you have a problem, tell us the Manual Version and page number/paragraph you are on with a description of your problem and we'll get you to the other end.

4) Make no mistake: There actually is no other functional Predictive Autodial system in the Open Source world. Those that exist pale in comparison. Vicidial is in use in thousands of installations worldwide right now.

5) And for future reference, when you place a request for support or even just general discussion here on the forum:

when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This:

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC | Core2Quad Q6600

A- Thank you for your answer

B- At first, i will explain what i need, after that i write in details what i'm doing at the moment.

1- I have many files (.txt or CSV) containes phone numbers for the France.
2- I have 2 Sip trunck.
3- The aim is to upload this files, make nearly 150000 calls every day, and get online the status of outgoing calls.
4- I dont need phone hardware and softphone. when client receive the call, he listens a voice message, which it was me who will choose the Voicemessage (uploaded).
5- CallerID be displayed on client mobile.
6- Determines the number of simultaneous calls, time of call completion, waiting time between call, call attemps, planning managment and rinnings numbers.
7- No matter if i will pay for support or softwars, just i search a stable and effective system.

C- After research, i installed from the website the "ViciBox_Redux.i686-3.1.15" on VmWare 6.0
System informations:
Intel Pentium CPU P6200 2.13GHz
Cash: 3MB
RAM: 512 (modifiable)
Hard drive: 20 (for test)
Kernel: 2.6.18

I followed the steps of "Walk Through" to install the system.
In local, i joined the admin webpage based to "Vicidial_Manager_Manual".
I learned how to add users, add sip truncks, add list.

I lack at the moment, how to use the predictive dialer, and how to manage it using web by others users.

D- Finaly, Thank you in advance, and what do you think about GoAutodial? it's based on Vicidial, but what is the different between it and the VICIBox.
Excuse me if there are absurds issues and malformed sentences.

Please remember to post your Vicidial version with build (bottom left corner of most Administration screens).

GoAutoDial is useful if you require CentOS or a pretty (but not up to date) user interface (which by the sound of it is not the case).

If you require web access outside your office, you'll need to get a real server with an external IP address or learn how to forward an ip address through your router to this server.

Goautodial is easy to install and pretty good than vicibox , it has most of the things preconfigured.
follow the below link goautodial getting start guide.

Do you have a count of the number of technicians that support GoAutoDial? (Curious ...)

I will say that CentOS is widely supported, and this .iso is very stable. But if there is a Problem ... who does one call? Gardo is EXCELLENT, but alas, Gardo is also often very busy and from time to time a bit hard to get a hold of ...

PoundTeam Incorporated of course is always available (slight self pitch there ... had to do it, part of the point here ... ), but The Vicidial Group does not support GoAutoDial or CentOS and the list of other technicians is a little thin.

As a result, I generally do not push people to GoAutoDial unless they have some sort of actual need for it. Not that I object to clients being unable to go to The Vicidial Group with OS related problems ... I just don't consider it fair to push anyone in a direction that could leave them in a corner on a bad day or "stuck" with us and quite possibly no one else they can turn to. Not quite kosher in my opinion.

Now Vicibox, on the other hand, as you'll note on the forums ... has a lot of followers, plenty of installations, and even a fair amount of free support on the forums. And Kumba (who is also Very Good and available In Addition to all these other technicians ...).

Just sayin' ... 8-)
