I understand it is quite a task to run Trixbox and Vicidial on the same server. How difficult would it be to do a from scratch install on a secondary machine and have it connect to my trixbox to dial out?
My phones have the capability of multiple accounts (GXP-2000) and I was wondering if I could have Vicidial ring the extension then dial out through my trixbox.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Jason

That isn't very difficult, just create and IAX trunk in trixbox for the VICIDIAL server, but depending on the number of lines, it can put a lot of load on Trixbox.

This setup is exactly what i'm in the middle of implementing across 3 seperate locations, all three currently have company wide extension to extension dialing (the locations are on diff. ends of town) the client didn't want to lose TB functionality so i decided to trunk vicidial server to TB server, works like a charm, although i am doing SIP dials over to the TB machine since each one's vicidial server is on the same local LAN... no NAT to worry about
