Hangup Detections

I am testing out a new dialer, and the calls wont hang up for about 30 seconds after the other party has ended the call. Its a fresh install with only the test campaign and carrier information being added and all the O/S updates etc...



I am set up on a ESX VM installation on a Gigabit network. Asterisk PBX 1.6.2.24-103

1) Welcome to the Party!

2) when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

3) DO NOT use Vicidial virtually unless it is only for testing. You are likely experiencing a timing issue related to the Lack of Power of your virtual system plus the fact that Vicidial is in no way compatible with asterisk 1.6. So how, exactly, did you install and end up with an incompatible version of Asterisk? LOL

Thank you for your reply, sorry for the limited details. The installation is on a Proliant ML350 with a dual quad core 2.5 GHZ w/24GB ram. on VMWare ESXI 5.0.0

The installation is actually an OSDial osdial-installcd-2.3.0.092-x86_64.iso, using no Digium/ Sangoma hardware or any other software.

The use of of the VM Ware is strictly for testing.

OSDial and vicidial share a lot of code. But not this part any more. and the code OSdial has in common with Vicidial is many years old.

My advice: Switch to the OSDial forums for OSDial support or install Vicidial! (really, why are you using OSdial and asking questions here? LOL).

After you install Vicidial, you'll likely never want to go back.

Also, especially in a situation like this, you are likely experiencing a Virtual issue (that would not be present in a real machine).
