solution would be not to install openVZ.

is this related to Vicidial in some way?

do not run Vicidial in a virtual server. except for single agent systems and pure testing.

and what do you mean "vps purchased"? if it is virtual you can lease it ... but purchase?

LOL. Why were you installing openVZ? If you want a virtual vicidial, just install in VMware or Virtualbox (or go nuts and install in vSphere or Proxmox) ... but don't PAY anyone unless you need it to be a Live Public system (with 1 agent).

1) I'm pretty sure VMware will assign its own range of dynamic IPs (just don't let them overlap with your router's range)
2) I'm also pretty sure the IP could be acquired from the router instead
3) Why dynamic? pick an IP high enough to be out of your router's assignable range and there won't be any IP collisions ...
4) vSphere :) Requires a dedicated computer, but opens a wide array of virtualization possibilities.

if you are using openvz make sure that dahdi is loaded from the Main server, openvz is just a container so you need to load the necessary modules from the main server itself
