Does anyone have experience successfully installing and running Vicidial (single/cluster) on a newer version of Ubuntu server?

We're actually developing 12.04LTS right now (moving from MySQL to MariaDB, but stalled as we're kinda busy). Had a client who was going to Alpha test it for us, but they went away for a while ... just got 'em back a few days ago and will hopefully be able to move them into an Ubuntu server in the next few weeks.

We prefer to do this with a discounted server in our facility so we can "fix" any problems on the fly as we go.

i have a 6 server cluster on ubuntu 12.04 and some stand alones, works great

I have seen this document before. It has instructions for installation on Ubuntu 8.04 and there are several version hops between that and 12.04. Do your instructions work with 12.04 without modifications?

Our team has managed to make a distribution based on ubuntu LTS 12.04 having vicidial installed. We will release it soon.

So far all basic functions that i have tested are working 100%

Installation instructions would be appreciated

Um ... I see a link to a pdf for 8.04lts, but nothing related to 14.04lts ...?

if you read clearly i just said i recently tested it on 14.04, no pdf yet

On my planet stating "just tested" does not also translate to "no pdf yet". Which is why I was confused. Perhaps saying something like "Just tested ... will post PDF soon ..." would have been clearer? LOL

(Oh: and not to be hypercritical, but one may "write" clearly, but one would "read" carefully )

hey william before you begin to act like a big troll the user was asking if anyone had tried installing vicidial on a newer server of ubuntu, kindly read the topic first, i just replied when i finished testing it on 14.04 LTS, if you have a problem with me lets settle this in private, you have been trolling most of my replies eversince.
