I have VERSION: 2.2.1-237 and just want to know what some of the new updates are that might make it worth reinstalling. Is there anywhere I can find a list of newer features or abilities? Thank you so much.

The version you are using is about 4 years old. If you download the latest svn/trunk version you will see the major new features in the UPGRADE document. There are hundreds of new features added since the version you are using.
