New to this forum, and forums in general. Sorry if i don't adhere to the rules properly..
I was wondering if there was a list of providers for hosted vicidial servers w/support.

I know of Justgocloud, but was wondering if there was somewhere I can go to find more providers, and maybe even comparisons

The Vicidial group has http://vicihost.com. Ours is JustGoCloud http://justgocloud.com or visit http://goautodial.com. I'm pretty sure there are others also offering hosted or cloud based Vicidial/GOautodial based systems.

There are dozens of Vicidial Hosted providers out there, all with varying prices, and pricing methods as well as different ways of handling support.

Our ViciHost service is based around dedicated hardware per customer and per-server pricing instead of per agent or per minute. With ViciHost you can bring your own carrier if you like as well.

I have a question on your listing of "Do not call list" in the feature list ... is this meant to imply "US National Do Not Call List" ... or just the Vicidial company/campaign DNC list functionality (which is listed later during the purchase)? Does your system have National DNC management in it?

You're assumming that this is just for the US (which is not). There are other countries that has DNCs too.

I was asking questions. I note you didn't answer them clearly. I'll try again:

What exactly do you mean by DNC Management ...?

Do you have screenshots? Or is it more of a Service?

Do you provide the DNC lists for specific countries (where it's allowed)? Do you provide the DNC list for the US?

Are there extra fees for the use of the DNC system in some cases ... whatever it is?

You've been offered a chance to ring your bell, and you declined. Your marketing department should be pulling the hairs on the back of your neck right now.

I actually don't see any DNC management posted in our website. This is the closest we have:

I'm pretty sure that won't be necessary, now that you've removed that phrase from your site. Interesting. A little slimy to imply it was never there, though, honestly (and next will you deny it was ever there ... or will you say there was no such implication?). Wow.

While we're in here (and on the topic of your site ... and what may be deleted momentarily): I find it interesting that our favorite Captain Jack Sparrow has a testimonial on your site. A shame the testimonial is for another site! LOL

You may want to update your testimonials that came with the template to actual testimonials from your clientele. I've heard that's useful.

Honestly, we haven't removed anything. We don't have work on weekends unless there's a client asking for support.

I'd like to get to the bottom of this. If it's a mistake of our marketing team, then I can have it corrected.

Who said anything about working weekends? I made my post on a Thursday, you made your denial/implication on a Saturday. So now your statement that you "don't work on weekends" seems a bit disingenuous considering that the work would likely have been done on Friday to allow you to make your denial on Saturday. LOL

But it's gone now, which answers my question: You don't have DNC management outside of the built-in Vicidial DNC Management (LOL). I was wondering if you had a competing product to our NDNC Management tool that installs in Vicidial (or if you merely had a copy of it ... since it's open source).

Unless, of course, you don't know where on the page the content was, in which case it would be unlikely that you'd know if it was in the header or footer.

So we assume for now that you have no knowledge of the "DNC Management" assertion on the page ... how could you know where it was on the page when it wasn't there? Hm.

Perhaps it was in a content section or a "post" or "article" which is stored in the DB of the content manager ... as is very likely. Those are some slippery straws you're grasping at.

Riiiiight. Anyone who asks you about one of your pages should always screenshot it before doing so, I guess.

The concept here is that I saw DNC Management on the home page and I saw "Internal DNC and Blacklist" on the pricing page ... and I wondered what the difference was.

Now ... "Internal DNC and Blacklist" is missing from the pricing page and has been replaced with "Do not call list" (which is odd, because it was different yesterday, and you don't do stuff like that on weekends, right? LOL). Maybe you should send me the dates for the header/footer again to be sure they haven't changed.

Oh: And you may want to put your setup fee in your Pricing Page (it really does belong there, it's a ... Price) instead of having it magically appear after the choice is made on the page stating "Due Today". That Price Page is in the form of a "Price Comparison Page" and it's a bit mean to exclude your setup fee (which varies from package to package) when showing the prices for the packages. I'd say that's a good part of the comparison ($600.00 USD Setup Fee). Definitely want to add that line to the packages that have it. Funny, I half expect you to say it's already there and I should have snapped it before it changed.

And here I thought it was about "Hosted Vicidial Providers". Saying someone else is arrogant when they "call you" on your tactics is something other than arrogant. Lucky for you my arrogance is already widely known ... (but that's like calling your cab driver short because he wanted you to pay the full fare, LOL. Now that we're here:

You charge $60/month for clients to FTP their own recordings to themselves ... and you charge $40/month if they store them on YOUR servers ... and you delete them all if they cancel. That's a bit of a squeeze for these rooms that MUST retain their recordings (a lot of laws involved in that). But it's not like the ftp costs you anything.

That plus a 50% price-hike for NOT using your minutes/carrier (which gives the impression that your minutes may be a bit overpriced, even if they aren't) still seems a bit tricky to me. That $160/month fee suddenly jumps to $340 (double!) if someone wants to use that server without you charging them for minutes or deleting their recordings.

I guess it's better than NOT allowing the use of any other carriers, though, as some hosts do. So I'll give you points for that. And you do list the pricing on the page After the price comparison page.

That does make comparison a little more difficult than it would if you put all those prices on the Price Comparison Page. I mean ... it starts at $160 and jumps to $340 pretty quick without any mention of this stuff on the pricing page ...

It's not like you're out of room, why don't you list ALL your prices on the Pricing page? I guess that's what's throwing it off for me.

And just to check: Can your clients get a copy of their Database backup FTP'd to them? Or is that extra also? Or even available? I had a client a couple months ago on a hosting service that wouldn't give him his DB. That was awkward for the switchover. I hope that wasn't you.

There are 2 packages that have setup fees that should be posted in the comparison page. Thank you for pointing this one out.

We give the clients the SQL dump of their DB if they ask for it.

Considering all the other Wizards, I'm thinking it would be a good idea to make a mysqldump wizard (dump, gzip, download to client) and insist that they download once a month. Or perhaps email them a link to the download file once a month and delete the file 24 hours after the link is emailed (whether they downloaded or not?). Or my favorite (we've done this for a few): nightly backups exposed in a password protected web folder. So they can go get the full backup any time they feel like it. For those clients who don't have their own FTP service, this works.

Show a warning notice at the top of their screen if they have not downloaded in the last 30 days. Responsibility being the client's ... but backups are not something to be overlooked and you can't push too hard on that topic.

Just a thought. And you already have so many wizards doing other stuff, this would seem a customer-friendly addition.
