Hi,

One of our customer is looking forward to integrate NICE call logger with Vicidial solutions. Is there any integration available with Vicidial or done before. Because of the customer’s client requirement, customer is forced to use NICE logger with aspect dialer.

Client is ready to sponsor the project if Vicidial team is ready to do.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for any clarifications.

Thanks & Regards

1) Using an acronym in this situation can cause misunderstanding.

2) The Vicidial system can be configured to record all calls. An audit to see if any calls can escape recording would be necessary to determine whether there is anything to be done or not.

3) Vicidial is owned by "The Vicidial Group" and I work at "PoundTeam Incorporated". Thus a Vague reference to "Vicidial team" could be misunderstood (IMHO, LOL).

4) Such a solution may be easy or difficult, depending upon your precise requirements. I'd suggest you post those requirements without any acronyms. For instance: We have implemented a solution that requires "all calls are recorded" be played to all incoming calls by modifying extensions.conf. There is a single exception written into the extensions.conf file for one agent at that company who insisted that it was interfering with inbound calls to his direct line. But otherwise it's impossible to get a call into the system without playing that message. So, your requirements (all of them) plus your statement of whether you've already performed an audit ... would be helpful in moving forward.

Happy Hunting! 8-)

Hi William,

NICE Logger is the product name (http://www.nice.com/protecting/public-s ... g-solution). Many commercial dialer solutions integrate with this product for call recording and screen recording. We are doing asterisk consulting to one of our corporate client where they want to use NICE solution integrated with asterisk for call Recording. NICE logger expects some kind of events which needs to be triggered by vicidial at start of the recording with details such as phone number, agent ID, Lead ID etc,,.,.

Spoke to NICE logger guys that they charge around $20K for giving API access

Please let me know if anyone interested in this project.

Thanks
Karthik

If this is an "Expensive PAID Proprietary Service", then it kind of negates the purpose of a system like Vicidial which is Free and Open Source and runs on Asterisk which is also Free and Open Source.

That being said: Vicidial and Asterisk are fully capable of being integrated with anything anywhere for any reason. Executing an event before, during, after a call is certainly doable.

But remember the major difference here: In the Expensive Paid Proprietary world, these integrations are pre-built and licensed and you'll be paying to use them per server/user/call (perhaps all of those). But in the Vicidial/Asterisk world, you have to pay someone to Build these integrations instead. Generally costs less up-front for the customization and NOTHING down the line. Except you're stuck paying for NICE forever unless you identify it's capabilities and build THAT instead so you can skip that fee forever.

We do that sort of thing regularly. Just be sure to avoid that "wait until you NEED it NOW" thing. Tends to quadruple the price (or more). And beware those who offer to accomplish the task, but are in a location where you can not sue them. LOL

If you really want to do it right, you'll pay The Vicidial Group to build this interaction into Vicidial's core. They've done this before for things like QueueMetrics and vTiger and Sangoma AMD. Call 'em up and ask for a price. (Or us, of course, which would be my preference) 8-)
