From address missing 'sip:'

I need your help, am currently running vicidial 7.0.3, i have integrated to the new sip provider but the current issue is , when a call comes in to vicidial box, it terminates with the below error when i do debugging for the peer.
NOTICE[18469][C-0000000e]: chan_sip.c:18582 check_user_full: From address missing 'sip:', using it anyway
ERROR[18469][C-0000000e]: sip/reqresp_parser.c:830 get_name_and_number: can not parse name and number from sip header.

WARNING[18469][C-0000000e]: chan_sip.c:17667 get_destination: Not a SIP header ()?
The provider informed me that they are not able to send sip rather they do send tel since this is a global config, they said that this was tested on asterisk 13,
Has anyone faced this issue and if so is there a work around? or i need to upgrade.
