Predictive vs. Manual Dialing Comparison

I know here that many Vicidial administrator that has vast experiences in handling Campaigns.

Can someone help me enlighten about below:

1 Which is better Predictive Dialing vs. Manual Dialing.
2 Which is efficient in increasing Human Answered Call.
3 Is there a Post Dial Delay between Manual Dialing and Predictive Dialing?
4 How about Ratio Dialing, is it a combination of both?
