I have a general question, and I hope it's not a case of RTFM.

I have a potential project that has a requirement to pull up customer details from a database when a call is answered. Is there a method of customizing the contact page or opening another web page?

Yes, you can use the WEB FORM feature to open a new browser, or in the SCRIPT TAB you can open an IFRAME (basically a mini-browser) with an outside web page as well.
