I am using TDM2400p FXO card in asterisk version 1.2.27,zaptel 1.2.26 & libpri 1.2.8.I am able to make outgoing calls,but when they pick up the calls cut suddenly.And i am not able hear the voice in both end.
In digium support they said upgrade the version to 1.4,it does not work in this above version.If there is any 1.4 version suitable with the old confs.

It is mentioned many times on this forum that using POTS lines with VICIDIAL is the worst choice for trunks. It would actually be better to use analog modems in parallel to connect to the internet to a SIP provider if you have no other option than POTS lines.

There is no line event signalling on POTS lines like there is with SIP, IAX and every kind of T1/E1 voice line.

The problem is with Asterisk and zaptel and how the call progress detection is not very accurate or quick.
