20 Agents Call Center Recommendation

Hi ,

I need hardware recommendation for a call center of 20 agents with agent to line ratio 1:100 .

Does vicidial support this ratio ?

What are you doing that you need that high of a line ratio?

if you require 20 local agents and 2000 outbound calls, you may require several asterisk boxes linked to one vicidial "controller" box. if you are playing 2000 recorded messages at the same time, the more powerfull your CPUs in the asterisk boxes, the less boxes you will need. Also, it depends on how your trunks are connected. there is hardware (digium, sangoma) that will assist in the conversion of the sound, which requires less of "hit" on the CPU for each call, but if you are going purely VOIP, then your issue (other than CPU) will of course be bandwidth.

but at the 2000 outbound simultaneous calls level ... you will need more than one box. how many is the question. for that, i'd say pick up a bunch of off-lease quad core dell blade servers and a server cabinet to hold them, if you don't have one already.
