Check call status via API

I am currently working on making Vicidial AGC work using all the available APIs and creating my own too. As per the current vicidial agent screen Transfer and Park call buttons gets activated when the customer picks up the call.
How do I check if the call has been picked up by customer via API or from any database field?
I am currently using non agent api (agent_status) which tells me if the agent is INCALL but I would like to get the status when the customer picks up the call so I can activate my Transfer and Park call buttons in my CRM.
Any help would be appreciated.
