I live in Rome, Italy and working in a international call center society (more then 1500 seats around Italy and abroad).
I'm testing Asterisk solutions for call centers since this summer and I've found some very useful stuffs.
We have a "really big!" Avaya based voice system but, of course, everything here is truly expensive; we also use software like Genesys for inbound calls
I'm developing a system integration from Avaya systems and Asterisk/Vicidial system; it should be a great deal for everyones looking for cheap addons to their platinum-style

Addons like:
- Predictive/Progressive system
- IVR
- Call recordings
Integration is made using a h323 ip-trunk (Avaya make calls, no need of any ISDN card: here's the main advantage!)

By now we have in testing environment a fully functional Vicidial system and an IVR db-based, everything running with Avaya link; Vicidial also works great with Avaya proprietary phones (non SIP)
