setting pace of manual dialing

Hi All,
I have a situation where agents would need to use manual mode having dial preview enabled (reviewing all the data loaded into the leads before dialing), but then they should have a time-out that forces the dialing of the number after certain minutes. The reason is that the agents would need to lookup certain additional information on the person being called that requires some time and the existing predictive dialing solution would not work as they have no time to read all the additional information when the called person is already on the line and in front of them.
I am familiar with mysql, but not so familiar with php. Can anyone direct me maybe to some simple solution to this?

This would require some Javascript additions mostly along with a few changes to the PHP code.

Most likely the best way to do it would be a timer event triggered by the dial-next-number button when the preview checkbox was checked.

This sounds like a good feature to add to VICIDIAL, if you succeed in programming it or would like to pay us to help develop the feature for you we would like to add it to the codebase.
