Elastix with E1 as carrier?

Postby ricardochenhe » Wed Sep 25, 2013 3:54 pm

Hi,

We have an elastix appliance with built in E1 that we currently use for outbound calling. How or what is the best way to tap into elastix E1?

I want to use vicidial asterisk to make the calls, but if that's not possible its ok for me to use elastix asterisk. This appliance (XORCOM) is rated for 1000 simultaneous calls.

Vicidial:
VERSION: 2.8-410a
BUILD: 130824-2319

Elastix:
Elastix 1.6.2-27

You could setup a separate physical server for Vici and create an IAX2 (or SIP) trunk to your Elastix and tell Vici to send all calls to the Elastix.

Yeah, that could work, just make sure your dialplan suits you....
