WaitForSilence broken !?! in 1.2.14-1.2.17 AMD problem

Wait For Silence seems to be broken for a while now and the best suggestion from Digium seems to be to switch to 1.4

We need this in a working order to detect when we can play the answering machine messages.
Does anyone have a working patch or workaround for that?

I don't want to waste my time if someone else already did it otherwise I might have to fix it myself.

I created a fix for 1.2 with a little upgrade and will upload a patch to digium shortly anyone who likes to have the working 1.2 source now, just shoot me a mail.
