Vicidial Hardware Planning ~100+ users

HI..

We are planning a 3 server vicidial installation with 3 8-core AMD FX Processors..

1) 8 Core fx processor + 16 GB RAM + 500 GB SATA HDD -- DB Server
2) 8 Core fx processor + 16 GB RAM + 1 TB SATA HDD -- Telephony Server
3) 8 Core fx processor + 16 GB RAM + 500 GB SATA HDD -- Web Server

With this Hardware, will it be able to support 100 - 120 users or should i have to change or add another server.. Planning to install vicibox 5.0.3..

What kind of call handling are you planning? Predictiving dialing, blended with inbound? inbound only? Manual dialing?

How many lines per agent?

If you are using SIP, what codec for audio compression?

You will most likely need at least 2 telephony servers, but that depends on the answers to the questions above.

We are planning the server for the Predictiving dialing, blended with inbound & Manual dialing..
Lines per agent will be max 2 to 3..
Total 4 E1 PRI's..
Most agents will be handling Predictive Dialing..
We will be using ULAW & ALAW only..
Audio Compression, MP3 Format..

4 x E1 PRIs = 120 channels
120 channels / 100 agents = line to agent ratio of 1.2/1

If all you have is 4 x PRIs, then you might be fine with one server, That would be the most I would recommend on one telephony server. But if you will have 3/1 lines to ratio by either using SIP trunks or more PRIs, then you will need at least two telephony servers.

Hi,

There will be no more than 4 e1 pri lines right now. But in future, if we add more e1 pri lines,,
for example if upgrading servers for 150 users with 3 more pri's, then we should go for another
Telephony server. Am i right or if wrong, please guide me..
We have around 75 users avg right now on a single
Server setup with ratio dialing with 4 pri's.. 16gb ram, and 2 Tb hdd with raid 5 on intel six core xeon processor. The dial ratio varies from 1.5 to 3 depending upon users and leads..
