Barring calls from agents phones.

Postby fibres » Fri Jun 01, 2007 8:17 am

We are installing a new vicidial system at moment.
However it has occured to me tht the agents do not need to be able to dial out from their phones. Therefore it would be handy to be able to block their phones from making outbound calls, As the dialer passes them live calls and they dont have to use their phones to dial out.
Can anyone suggest a way to stop their phones from being able to access the outbound trunk whilst still allowing the dialer to work,.

Thee are polycom phones.

Is there no way of doing this in the extensions.conf or will that like I expect break vicidial?

You should be able to set the context in the sip.conf entries for these phones, and then create that conference in the extensions.conf without anything in it.

There is a lot you can do with dialplan contexts, and it can get very confusing, but many people have done setups like this in the past.

Very simple trick would be that user should dial a number like 99883+outgoing number and you can set outgoing prefix in campaign page as 99883 ... unless you tell agent that you should add 99883 before dialing outgoing number, they wont be able to dial out ;)

exten => 998831NXXNXXXXXX,1,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:5}@trunk,to)
