Postby Merchant007 » Thu Mar 10, 2016 1:47 am

I am facing weird issue with HIGH CPU MEM PFile usage from AST_VDremote_ag process . i don't have any remote agents configured , due to this high Usage agents are getting logged out /getting time sync issue but after waiting few sec agents will b able to login again

Normal load is 1/2 max on Quad core server with ~ 30 agents and 32 max calls (10-15 speaking)

suddenly load peaked to
Code: Select all
System Load Average: 6.04 11.95 12.46    M

-Its a single server installation with 8 GB Ram 1 TB HDD , Quard Core CPU Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 5160 @ 3.00GHz

Edit after reboot everything is back to normal , but how to check why AST_VDremote_ag was taking so much resources

After the reboot it's impossible to tell. If you get lucky there may be logs in /var/log/astguiclient that "hint".

Usually if you get a process stuck like this and that process is listed in "screen -list" you can attach to the screen to see what's happening. If logging is on for that screen, you may be able to check the logs even after a reboot. But if logging is off and you reboot or kill the process, you may never know.

How often do you reboot?

How many remote agents(and how many lines) do you have defined?
