Wyse Terminals as Clients

Postby fibres » Mon Jun 11, 2007 6:39 pm

Hi

I am working for someone who has takn over a call centre. The previous people have removed the dialer and I am setting up a vicidial.
The previuos owners had a similar system as vicidial in that the dialer was web based. However they have Wyse winterm thin clents on the desktop.
These are not being user asthin clients. Simply used as they have windows CE and the internet explorer browser. However this is causing problems as there is the known memory problem with IE. Has anyone else tried using these?
Any suggestions on where to get a thrid party browser that might work better.

This is a shame as excluding the ie problem these make ver good clients for this system as there pretty cheap to pickup and are harder for the agents to mess with or break.

Have you tried Opera or Firefox on these terminals?

What version of IE are they running?

Do they have ActiveX installed(required for IE AJAX functionality)?
