Inbound Agents no receiving calls

Postby Mequetref43 » Mon Jul 11, 2016 10:01 am

Hi everyone, thanks for all the information and suggestions posted on the forum.

I´ve been seeking along the last days but i must be missing something.

VERSION: 2.12-560a
BUILD: 160617-1427
© 2016 ViciDial Group
Asterisk 11.22.0

I setup a carrier, the extensions, the users, the campaign, the DIDs and users groups also.

I´m logged as an agent, i also can receive calls on the extension or on the phone. Al so i can make outbound calls too.

But i´m absolutely unable to make the agent to receive calls.

ASTERISK CLI with DID 252533

Does anyone how to solve this "problem"?

Thanks in advance.

I absolutely know how to solve this problem. In just a few baby steps. :)

1) Download the Vicidial Manager's Manual, which is available Free at EFLO.net (there is also a paid version, which I highly recommend).
2) Start at page one of the manual.
3) Work your way through the manual.
4) (Most important step:) Don't skip anything. Even if you're sure you don't need to do it. Even if you've done it already. Especially if you're a linux person. In fact, I've had several linux professionals find out that someone with LESS experience can do this easier.
5) IF (heaven forbid) you bump into a problem: Bring us the version of the manual, the page, and the line number where you "hit your snag". Include the expected response and actual response. Also include pertinent configuration information and asterisk CLI output related to your problem.

In your case, you did not include the configuration information for the DID, which leads me to believe that you may have jumped around a bit during configuration by using "common sense" and "I know how to do this" instead of The Manual.

So go back and do it right. Slowly. Wipe the server clean and start over if you have to. You'd be surprised at how helpful That Alone can be. (If you fear the Reinstall, it'll always seem like magic to you ... but if you've installed Vicidial 5-10 times by the time you get a clean run all the way through the manual ...there will be NO magic and you'll be comfortable with the possibility that some day a dead HD will REQUIRE a reinstall!)

Also: DIDs (as a rule) are more than six digits. Considering that the DID script fired ... but then decided to terminate the call, that missing DID configuration is essential. But there are so many details involved in setting up inbound that using the manual and working from beginning to end without skipping anything is more important than anything else. Learning that now will probably save you hundreds of hours (and a lot of hair) down the road. 8-)

Thank you very much William.

I just throw it all and start again two times.

Now it all works great.

The problem must be in some option i enabled/disabled, but at the end works great.

There is some misunderstanding in the manager manual for vicidial 2.9, 2014-06-12 version, at page 12 tutorial B, item 5 and 6:

- "Have the agent log into VICIdial agent interface script with the phone login(Login) of "201" and phone password (Login Password) of "test"."

If don´t have a campaign created it isn´t works. The login asks for campaign.

First we have to create a campaign and make the agent log into that campaign. So the creation of the campaign must be first than login to receive/make calls.

"6.- Within a few seconds the agent´s phone should ring and they will be logged into VICIdial and can proceed as normal..."

If there is no campaign you just can´t be logged on the system.

Just for complete on the manual.

My problem was to try to make the campaign and check another options to make it work.

Thanks again.

So you're saying that the Vicidial Manager's Manual says to log the agent into the Campaign on a page BEFORE the instructions for creating a campaign? Really?

So you say the agent log in instructions are on page 12 ... what page are the Create a Campaign instructions on?

Good morning William,

i´m not saying that.

What i´m telling it´s about tutorial B "Add new SIP or IAX phone to the system" on point 5 and 6.

The tutorial guides you to log and receive calls. But the login after phone login, ask you to enter user, password and campaign.

Agent Screen Campaign Login

User Login:
User Password:
Campaign:
SUBMIT Refresh Campaign List

VERSION: 2.12-496c BUILD: 160915-0955

But the tutorial didn´t talk about campaign or user creation still, so we must continue to make the phone and user (agent) logged.

I swear you just said "No! That's not what I said ..." and then repeated what I said making it a yes.

Let's try this again:

What page are You on when you bump into your problem?

What page is "Campaign creation" on?

Is the "Campaign Creation" page before the page you are presently on?

User creation is not relevant as the user can be "6666" which is automatically created.
