What does "Manager sendcron" mean?

Postby SPAMSAM » Sat Jan 21, 2017 3:22 pm

Good day,

Still new to vicidial / asterisk, so please forgive me if the question is a bit vague or if the answer is super obvious and im just missing it.

I'm currently running an instance of GoAutoDial 3.3 (Asterisk 1.8.23.0-1_centos5) and have been encountering multiple lines of the following message in the Asterisk CLI:

Manager 'sendcron' logged on from 127.0.0.1
Manager 'sendcron' logged off from 127.0.0.1

My question is:

1. What does the line mean? As in what does the dialer do when it prints out that specific line of code?

2. Could those messages be indicative of someone attempting to hack the dialer.

Thanks in advance for the help

That is not a hack attempt, sendcron is an AMI user, part of the vicidial system
