Reports take a long time and freeze calls

In some reports, like Inbound by DID, the queries with a filter of only one day take a long time, until one or two minutes, and after first 30 seconds (aproximately) Asterisk freezes and inbound calls are dropped or remain silent for several seconds. The mysqld pid is in more than 100%.

I consider that the operation is soft for the server:

All campaigns in Inbound.
20 calls simultaneusly.
25 agents.
Intel 12 cores 2,2 GHz
8 GB ram
HDD 15K rpm.

Is it possible to optimize this?

Either archive your old logs or get a separate slave database server to run your reports on.
