is there a way to dial out of more than one list in the same campaign at the same time?

Yes, you set the second list to Active=Y and select the statuses to dial, then you can do something like sort by phone number to give you a sampling across lists.

There is also a new experimental feature in the SVN codebase called "list mix" that allows you to set percentages for lists and statuses to dial on. It works, but is not very user-friendly or simple at this time.
