Hi, does ViciDial support, or do you recommend any third party options, to handle text to speech or speech to text? For example, an ivr message that says "Say customer service to be directed to customer service. Say status to be read your account status" where saying "status" would make an api call to a third party system and speak back "active" or "balance of $21" type of thing.

Text-to-Speech, yes. We integrate with Cepstral for that, and we have many clients that use this solution.
As for Speech-Recognition, that is much more difficult to configure in general, and much tougher to do accurately, and much more resource intensive. We do not currently have a built-in solution for that.
