hello,
my question is : why do we need remote agents? because from what i understand until now only the location is the diference between agents and remote agents. i can have very well a normal agent and from the dial plan to redirect to a land line that agent extension.
????

Remote agents serve several functions:
- allowing for virtual agents to exist to send calls to agents on other types of phone systems
- allowing a person to log in as an agent without having to use the vicidial.php interface or any web browser the entire time they are logged in
- allowing for performance testing
