Dropped call % too high. Too many calls in cancel status

Postby jheengoo » Tue Jan 14, 2020 5:05 pm

Hi.

We have built a vici cluster of 2 servers, one is all 3 while second is agent+dialer. Suddenly we noticed that drop percent is too high (12%) compared to previous days (4%). Attached is image of carrier stats. I notice there are almost 50% calls in cancel status. Is that unsual or alarming, something we should try to fix or is it normal?

Will appreciate your response.

1) Good job posting your Version with Build.

2) Please consider including your installer with full version in future posts.

3) No image attached. lol

4) Instead of looking at the matter from a "look at that forest!" perspective, try checking a call or two (or a dozen?) to see if they should have been answered. If you find any that should have been answered, but were not, check the log during the time of that call and see if you can find out what happened. There may be an error in the asterisk log that tells you what happened.

5) On the other hand, if you completed all your lists and reset them and dialed the numbers again, and you dialed previous "NA" calls, those cancel/NA calls were NA again and were likely a major percentage of the calls you could dial again. Previously all the leads were "NEW" and you removed a lot of them by talking to people, now you have a smaller selection and that would make the NA calls a larger percentage of the remaining calls. Happens a lot. 8-)

Happy Hunting!

oops sorry. Edited.

Thanks for point 4 and 5 :)

When I manually dialed few of those calls they went to voicemail, but on autodial they ended as dead silence or dropped after few seconds. Also We have 2 servers in setup. I noticed when call is dialed from serverA and call server ip is of Server B the call almost always drops or ends as dead silence.

The Vicibox Installer has more than a single digit. 8.X.X?

"call is dialed from" and "call server IP" is the same thing. That can't be two different servers. Perhaps a little clarity would be useful.

You could try turning off balance dialing and see if that help or has any effect.
