Variables inside of User WebVars and Custom fields

Hello,

I'm trying to implement a setup where I have a single campaign with two groups of agents. I want one set of agents to get one URL with variables in the WEBFORM and another set of agents to get a different URL, each populated with list variables. In the Campaign WebForm field, I've put the following field: "VAR--A--web_vars--B--. And in the User Campaign Ranks Web Vars field, I put "http://myURLA/--A--vendor_lead_code--B--" for one set of users. For the other set, I put "http://myURLB/--A--vendor_lead_code--B--" for the other set of users.

I want to do the same thing with User Inbound Groups Web Vars for inbound calls (i.e. populate the INGROUP WEBFORM with "VAR--A--web_vars--B--", then use embedded variables in the Inbound Groups Web Vars for each user).

I also want to use WEB FORM 2 , except use "VAR--A--user_custom_one--B--" and then populated user custom fields with two different URL with variables for each group of users (i.e. in the User Custom 1 field have "http://myURLA/--A--vendor_lead_code--B--" for one group and "http://myURLB/--A--vendor_lead_code--B--" for the other group).

However, this doesn't seem to work.

Is it possible to use variables inside User Campaign Ranks WebVars, Inbound Groups WebVars or User Custom fields? If so, how do I get this to work?

Your goal, as I understand it, is to send different users to different URLs by using the campaign web_var field and also use the custom_X fields to provide user-specific data to the web site in question.

But "doesn't work" seems a bit vague. Did ANY of these variable fields perform as you expected them? This seems like a textbood case, but without know what happened, it's hard to tell what went wrong.

Avoid live data, use fake users and URLs of course, but REAL tests (so you don't infect the results with assumptions) to show us what parts are working and what are not. Otherwise, the Vicidial Manager's Manual should show you how to use each of these fields.

Try them/test them one at a time and then together?
