Postby 28300 » Sun Nov 25, 2007 12:30 pm

Hi,

sorry, i somehow started a new thread.
the issue is :

While following the scratch_install, issuing modprobe zaptel return an error : FATAL: Module zaptel not found

I compiled 2.6.23.8 kernel for my SLACKWARE 11 system. Is it due to some module been left out when compiling??? I used the Automatically generated make config file (Tue Nov 20 22:28:40 2007) and added few module to it.

Finally Solution :)

Postby 28300 » Sun Nov 25, 2007 1:33 pm

Hi,

Probably due to weekend I was not getting a reply to this topic so spent some time on google and finally found a solution (possibly).

I downloaded the current ZAPTEL that is (zaptel-1.4.6) and installed it. Then modprobe zaptel loaded the zaptel module and further the ztdummy can also be loaded without any problems.

Any suggestions ?? Is it that on kernel 2.6.23.8 the zaptel version 1.2.16 is not suited??
